Congratulations to our own Kyle Wood, who has been named new President of HCEA, the Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association. The announcement was made at the organization’s annual conference, HCEAConnect, in August in Chicago.
“As the leading association for healthcare exhibit professionals for more than a century, HCEA continues to expand both the depth and breadth of offerings we provide to our members,” says Amy Lotz, Executive Director of HCEA. “Kyle’s unique expertise as an exhibit house executive managing a global healthcare program, along with his many years of leadership in HCEA, will only serve to amplify our message and enhance our educational offerings.”
Wood’s appointment is noteworthy, as this is the first time in the association’s 87-year history that a vendor member will serve as its president.
“HCEA plays a vital role in this professional community, helping to foster and deepen relationships between members while also identifying key industry trends, challenges, and insights,” says Wood. “It’s an honor to lead.”
The healthcare marketing executive, who has served in a variety of leadership roles at Group Delphi, including nearly two decades with Medtronic’s global exhibit program, hopes to open up new avenues for access beyond HCEA’s traditionally popular offerings.
“A focus for me will be evaluating how we can enhance our value for new member participation,” says Wood. “We want to carry forward the terrific energy from events such as our annual summit into new partnerships and other strategic opportunities.”
Group Delphi is a proud sponsor of HCEA.
